Rise from Debt and Retire Financially Free
They laugh when I told them that now I earn more as a 52-years old retired guy than what I earn in my job before, until I showed them my monthly income and how I finally broke the debt chain that tied us for decades.
I am sharing this experience because I care for you and your family’s future. I know how it is to be financially struggling and wallowing in debts. I had been in this very frustrating and desperate situation and it is not pleasurable. I want you too to achieve financial independence and enjoy your retirement. I know it is also your goal to be financially free whether you have just started in your career or you are about to finish your work life. It is really… really my goal and my burden and prayer to bring people to financial freedom. It is our MISSION…
Now, you may be feeling insecure about your job, or you fear retrenchment and downsizing is slowly catching up on you. Or you are heavily indebted. Maybe you constantly struggle from pay check to pay check. Or you are worried that you do not have financial plan and goal for your family when you grow old and being a retiree. I know the feeling because I had been in this situation.
Based on a survey, 98% of Filipino Senior Citizens are financially struggling and majority of them (about 45%) depended on their children.
I want you to be Financially Successful and avoid one of these experiences
Many of my friends who retired lost their retirement money in 3 years. I pity Pepe, a friend of mine (not his real name), who just passed away with no money and left his family with a huge debt due to his medical problems. He earned so much during his working years, but did not have a healthcare protection. He had to even rely from the dole outs of friends. Why? He relied on the healthcare program his previous company provided that was automatically taken away when he retired.
Another friend, Susan, went into failed business and investments for she did not learn how to invest properly and did not seek a coached on how to do it. She lost more than P2 Million of her retirement money in a franchised restaurant business. Susan is an Engineer and she does not know anything about the restaurant business.
What’s in It for You
You don’t have to experience all of this. I can show you how I retire at age 52 and became financially free in 3 and half years. (See blog site link at the end.) Enjoy as a retiree with abundance of money to take care yourselves and help other people too. Knowing on how to grow your money, you can take your whole family, including your grand children on a yearly local tour, and once every two years on a pilgrimage to Holy Land Europe, and enjoy “gelato” in Italy where St. Francis once walked.
Imagine your children and grand children kissing you and greeting you happy birthday. Imagine giving those gifts rather than you asking from them. Imagine each day being worry free for you because you have passive income that comes to you more than you need. You go to your doctor for regular check up. You are driven to your gym for your regular exercise and life is so enjoyable and so good for you and your family
Let Me Tell You My Story
Probably you are wondering why a Mechanical Engineer like me talks about retiring financially free. In 2008 of January, Fely; my beautiful wife retired from Intel after 25 long years of serving the company. After a year it was my turn to be retired after being in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry for more than 28 long years. We were financially stupid, to say the least, so we were afraid that we will lose all our retirement money. We had humongous 7 figure debts and we had a yearly obligation of 500,000Php ($11,630) to send our kids (Chai and Rocky) to the green archer’s school in Manila. Where would I get this money every year? I felt so insecure, had lots of sleepless nights, and got into fights with people I love because I got so irritable due to my financial woes.
But my retirement became the starting point of my career detour.
Here are the simple steps that I did:
- I sought advised on people who are experts in the field of finance
- Attended seminars on financial literacy
- Read plenty of books by Robert Kiyosaki and Bro Bo Sanchez.
- I put into action what I learned from Bro Bo’s Truly Rich Coaching Seminar
- I seek mentors, and
- Got into a company called IMG-International Marketing Group.
With Truly Rich Club and IMG, Fely and I were coached on how to manage our finances, how to get out of debts, and how to invest properly. We did not just learn…we acted on what we learned. And with discipline and consistency, we continued to do it since then, until now. Then, after two years, we started to share our experiences with our family and friends, encouraging them to follow our example. In about 3 years after my retirement, we were able to get out from our bad debts, had profitable investments, and were able to create a passive income, which reached 153,678Php ($3,575)/month in 2012. From then, we had help and been able to change more than 5,000 people’s lives all over the world.
I am now, debt free, happily retired and financially free.
And we are enjoying traveling the world.
